Back in the saddle.....again

Today is Wednesday and as I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth I heard something in the bathroom corner SCREAMING my name... it was the scale. You see my scale misses me... why you ask? Because I haven't stepped on it in almost 2 months (June 2nd), so I thought I'd get back in the game. It is going to be a bit harder to exercise right now because I have a foot that is pretty banged up ( a sprain, torn ligament and a few cracked bones) that I have been told to stay off of unless it is necessary.... so here goes.

Today's weight is 262.8 lbs isn't that a lovely number... :( *insert puke and gag here*

I have not set a goal for weight loss this week but to make better choices. Like WATER!!! Hello? DRINK IT lady! and to get 5 servings of vegetables/day...

Good luck to everyone else who is on the journey to lose weight.

  1. water and veggies are a great place to start. I believe in baby steps and heck, for me water is not a baby step. I'm still not drinking enough!

  2. I'm just getting back in the saddle again, as well. Sorry to hear about your injuries and that they will be keeping you semi-sidelined.

Water intake is a huge goal for me this week as well! I'll drink mine if you drink yours.

No shame, girl. The weight is what it is. You're getting back on track and making positive changes, and I'm proud of you for that!

  3. welcome back kristin. be sure to follow doctor's orders about that foot (no matter how badly it sucks) but you can certainly do other things - like you mentioned better food choices.

  4. I think you are at a fabulous starting point! I hope your foot heals soon and follow doctors orders! I tried way too early after spraining my ankle this spring! But you sound like you are at a wonderful starting point & glad you're back in the saddle :)

  5. Sorry about your foot Kristin. That is a huge bummer, but you can definitely focus on other aspects of healthy living-like water, fruits and veggies-all great goals.
